Egli, Charles Richard "Chuck" Charles "Chuck" Richard Egli was born July 30, 1949, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to Doris Francis Piper and Walter Oscar Egli and departed this life Friday, September 28, 2007, surrounded by the love of family and friends. He lost a hard fought battle that lasted a month following surgery. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Joyce. Chuck and Joyce were married June 19, 1971, in Milton, Iowa. To this union came two wonderful sons, a great daughter-in-law and two fantastic grandsons: Brian, wife, Billie, and son Charlie of North Little Rock, Ark., and Steven and son, Dillon, of Longview. He is also survived by brothers, Douglass and wife, Linda, of Marshall, and Ron and wife, Jackie, of Leavenworth, Kan.; sister, Patt and husband, Michael, Bray of Lebo, Kan.; sisters-in-law, Linda Gittins of Pulaski, Iowa; Sue and husband, Bill, Sedore of Milton, Iowa; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Hargrove of Milton, Iowa, and Andy and wife, Mia, of Kahoka, Mo.; as well as Jim and Jane Hargrove, his father- in-law and mother-in-law of Milton, Iowa; and Chuck's dad, Walter, from Lansing, Kan. Chuck is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a very special cousin-in-law, Virginia and husband, Jerry, Gentry of West Plains, Mo. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris; and sister, Lillian Luallen. Charles worked many years as a machinist and upon retirement devoted his time to woodworking and furniture making as well as his family. Chuck will be remembered as a great, loving husband, Daddy, "Pop", brother and friend and will be greatly missed. "What you see is what you get." Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2007, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road.
