Ellis, Joyce Faith     

Joyce Faith Ellis was born November 15, 1923, in Long Beach, California, and she 
passed away January 30, 2006, in Longview. Ms. Ellis was a resident of Texas for 
47 years. She was employed by LeTourneau University for 20 years. She retired in 
1989. Even after living in Texas for 47 years, she never lost her love for the 
beaches of California. After donating her body to Baylor University, She asked 
that her ashes be sprinkled along the California coast highway. She is survived 
by six children, Karen Tarrant of Canton, Linda Rubin of Banden, Oregon, Sara 
Belmont of Hunt, and Liz, Jeff, and Beverly Ellis, all of Longview. She had five 
grandchildren and six great-grand- children. In lieu of flowers, the family 
requests donations be made to the S.E. Belcher Jr. Building Fund at LeTourneau 
University.
