Essary, Anita Webb Graveside services for Anita Jean Webb Essary, 85, of Longview, Texas, will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville, Missouri, with the Rev. Kirwin Stewart officiating. Mrs. Essary passed away Saturday, March 24, 2007, in Longview, Texas. Mrs. Essary was born December 20, 1921, in Braggadocio, Missouri. She was a secretary to the director of research and development for Shell Oil Co. in Houston, until her retirement in the early 1980s. Even though Granny was a very private person, she had great affection for her family and cherished the times she spent with them. Her loyalty and devotion to her family and the enjoyment that she gained from family gatherings will keep her memory close to our hearts. Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde William Essary; her parents, Carl Michael Webb and Nora Bigham Webb; and her brothers, Hina Webb and Carl Michael Webb Jr. Mrs. Essary is survived by her daughter, Jane Essary Cox and her husband, Doug; grandchildren, Andrea McCutcheon and her husband, Bubba, and Brad Cox and his wife, Karen; great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Jordan McCutcheon and Rebecca, Jacob, Amanda and Zachary Cox; and a niece and nephew, Pamela Webb Brownshadel and Carl Michael Webb III. The family wishes to express deepest gratitude to the staff at Buckner Westminster Assisted Living for the loving, quality care that they provided for Mrs. Essary.
