Graveside services for L.D. "Jake" Evans Jr., 88, formerly 
of Longview, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at 
Memory Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Turner officiating. 
Arrangements are by Welch Funeral Home. Mr. Evans died December 
31, 2006, in Mission. Born September 17, 1918, in Longview, 
he was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked for Sun Oil Co. 
for 39 years. Survivors include his wife, Frances Virginia
