Earnhardt, Gertrude Pope Services for Gertrude Pope Earnhardt, 90, of Flint, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2007, at the chapel of Welch Funeral Home, 4619 Judson Road, with Dr. William Hansen officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Earnhardt passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at a local medical center. Mrs. Earnhardt was born December 23, 1916, in Longview, to Jesse Cobb and Minnie Lee Kelley Pope. She was a Protestant. She was a member of Rose Heights Church Of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Roger Earnhardt; son, the Rev. Jerry L. Earnhardt; six brothers; and one sister, Elsie Childers. Survivors include her son, J. Rogers Earnhardt of Flint; grandson, Roger Lynn Todd; grandson, Jay Earnhardt and wife, Cheri´ of Old Hickory, Tenn.; grandson, Chris Earnhardt of Houston; granddaughter, Kimberly Earnhardt Lee and husband, Dr. Max Lee of Bullard; great-grandchildren, Collin Earnhardt, Brady Earnhardt, Carly Earnhardt, all of Old Hickory, Tenn., Brittney Earnhardt of Hallsville, Mackenzie Lee, Zephan Lee and Zane Lee, all of Bullard; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Sandra Cochran.
