Margie Mae Feagin was born February 1, 1937, in Dallas, Texas, to Hermon E. and Lela Mae Butler Tinker. She married William R. Feagin on May 9, 1963, and together, they raised seven children. Mrs. Feagin worked as a butcher for Neuhoff Meat Packing in Dallas, Texas for several years. "Mama," as everyone called her, was a devoted housewife and mother, all of her married life. She was able to combine two families into one when everyone was telling her it would never happen. The word "stepchildren" was never allowed in her home, and we were all her children. She devoted her whole life to her family and even her children's friends who found their way to her home. Mrs. Feagin had lived in Longview from 1963-2002, when she moved to Liberty City, Texas. She was of the Baptist faith and had lived in Liberty City, Texas, for the past four years. Mrs. Feagin was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William R.
