Friday Afternoon February 9, 1934 Feagle Rites Are Attended by Many Here Final rites for Balfour Feagle, 52, for many years prominent in the business, religious and civic circles of Longview and East Texas, were held Friday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the home of Paul Bramlette, 108 West Whaley street with Rev John L Whorton of the First Baptist church officiating, assisted by Rev R L Owens, First Presbyterian church pastor. Mr Feagle succumbed to a brief illness Thursday night at a local sanitorium. He was taken ill Tuesday afternoon and removed to the sanitorium where he failed to respond to treatment. Two blood transfusions failed to revive him. Palbearers were D. L N Markham, J C Barton, James Rea, G C Finch, O H Grissom, Herbert Fisher, W B Smith, E V Patrick, B D Marshall and M H Bivins. He was born April 6, 1881, at Corsicana, where he lived until 26 years old. At that time, he came to Longview and a year later opened the Feagle's Jewelry store. On April 18, 1912, Mr Feagle married Miss Pauline Bramlette, daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas L Bramlette, both long deceased. Mrs Alice Brock, the deceased's mother, arrived Thursday night from her home in Waxahachie and was at the bedside when her son passed away. His sister, Mrs Ethel Crow of Dallas, was also present at his death. Mr Feagle is survived bvy many relatives, among whom are his mother, two sisters, and a number of brothers and sisters-in-law; Judge Erskin M Bramlette, Dr and Mrs J C Francis, Mrs J F Hammond, Mrs H H Terrell and Mrs C C McClelland. Burial in Grace Hill Cemetery.
