Tuesday June 10, 1930 Clifford Felts Dies of Injuries Hiram Clifford Felts, 25 years old, son of Mr and Mrs H. E. Felts, died in St. Paul's Sanitarium, Dallas, at 2:30 o'clock this morning of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on North 6th street here Sunday night. The body was brought from Dallas by the Welch Undertaking Company and prepaired for burial. Felt's fell from Perry Meredith's car, which Jack Haynes was driving when the brakes were applied. He was riding on the running board. In falling his head struck the bumper of the automobile. The bumper hit him between the shoulder and back, causing serious injury to his spinal cord and paralysis of his limbs. He was rushed to Dallas for treatment. Felts is survived by his parents, Mr and Mrs H. E. Felts; four brothers, Luther of Tyler, Wendell of Fort Worth and Wilton and Ira Gladney of Longview; and two sisters, Terion and Evelyn Louise. Wednesday June 11, 1930 Felts Funeral Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock for Clifford Felts, 25, who died early Tuesday morning following an automobile accident. Services were held at Kelly Memorial Methodist church with Rev. James R. Wright, pastor of the First Christian church officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery
