Ferrell, Opal Funeral services for Opal Ferrell, 89, of Longview, will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2007, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home, with the Reverend Billy Foote officiating. Interment will be 1 p.m. in the Shady Grove Cemetery of Panola County, Texas. Mrs. Ferrell was born July 19, 1917, in Grand Bluff, Texas, to Charles and Zora Hudson. She was a member of Watermark Fellowship and had been the fountain manager for F.W. Woolworth and worked at several local restaurants as a waitress. Mrs. Ferrell was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John A. Ferrell and Willie N. Dailey; son, Reuben Dailey; parents, Charles and Zora Hudson; brothers, Thomas, Henry, James, and Virgil Hudson; and sisters, Louise Jarrell, Nell Webster, and Alene Hudson. Mrs. Ferrell is survived by her daughters, Leatha Glisson of San Antonio, and Laura Skinner and husband, Arnold of Longview; sons, Bobby Ferrell and wife, Vicki of Spring, Charles Ferrell and wife, Jan of Longview, and Gene Ferrell and wife, Glenda of Longview; daughter-in-law, Merlene Dailey of Gladewater; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
