Fitzgerald, Roland Roland Fitzgerald, 76, of Longview, died Monday, April 10, 2006, at a Shreveport, Louisiana hospital. He was born July 9, 1929, in Kaufman County, to Joseph and Fannie Fitzgerald. Roland served his country in the United States Army from 1951-1956. He was a member of Greggton First Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, George, Jack, and Dutch Fitzgerald; and sisters, Violet Fitzgerald and Zuella Harris. Roland will be dearly missed by his loving wife, of 47 years, Frances Fitzgerald of Longview; step-son, Harold Hollis of Calhoun, Georgia; step-daughter, Janie Wilson of Torrance, California; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Roy Lee, Oland, and Freddie Fitzgerald; and two sisters, Mayvon Kochin and Beatrice Dudley. He will also be missed by a host of special friends and his church family at Greggton First Baptist. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening, April 13, 2006, at Lakeview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2006, in the chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home. The Rev. Bobby Moore will officiate. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
