Francis, Madelyn Cameron Graveside services for Madelyn Cameron Francis of Longview will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2006, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, with the Reverend Scott Schulick officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Madelyn Cameron Francis was born in Graves County, Kentucky, to Daisy and Blake Cameron, and she went to be with the Lord on July 6, 2006, in Longview. She married Harry Lee Francis on April 11, 1943, and worked for Hughes Tool and Mobile Oil as an executive secretary for more than 30 years. She and Harry taught Baptist youth in Shreveport, La., and volunteered in the gift shop at Good Shepherd Medical Center for many years. She had been a faithful servant of her Lord at Mobberly Baptist Church since 1981. Madelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Harry in 1986; her parents, and all siblings, including her twin sister, Evelyn. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Linda Allen and husband, Jim; granddaughters, Rachel Richards and husband, Paul, and Kristen Bottoms and fiance, Zack Phillips, all of Longview; sister-in-law, Esther Francis of Spring; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Gerald Bottoms and wife, Maxine, of Hallsville, Brinkley Campbell, and other domino buddies, church family, and Norma Johnson's Sunday school class from Mobberly Baptist Church.
