Fant, Violet Frost Services for Violet Frost Fant, of Longview, will be at 1 p.m. today, August 24, 2007, at Greggton First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bobby Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery, 11 miles north of Jefferson, with arrangements under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Fant was born February 29, 1924, in Lou Ann, Arkansas, to Jeff Dee and Icy Payne Frost. She married Charlie K. Fant on May 10, 1942, in Jefferson, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; two brothers; and a grandson. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charlie K. Fant; her sons, Charlie K. Fant Jr. and wife, Phyllis of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, and Rodney Lee Fant and wife, Vickie of Dallas; and daughter, Rebekah Ann Claeys of Port Aransas. Her five grandchildren are: Brandy Lynn Piazza and husband, Michael of Brownstown, Michigan; Amy Fant of Memphis, Tennessee; Travis Claeys of Austin; Madison Claeys of Lubbock; and Codi Lee Fant of Dallas. Her great grandchildren are; Kaitlyn Piazza and Darin Piazza, both of Brownstown, Michigan. She is also survived by two brothers, Eddie Frost and wife, Candy of Lake Corpus Christi, and Douglas Frost and wife, Violet of The Woodlands. Other relatives include a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a longtime member of the Greggton First Baptist Church and was a 50 + year member of the Jefferson Chapter No. 627 Order of the Eastern Star.
