Fullen II, Jim Edward A celebration of life for Jim Edward Fullen II, U.S.A.F., captain, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2006, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with the Reverend Kyle Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery. Capt. Fullen went to be with his Lord on Sunday, December 17, 2006. Jim was born November 11, 1971, in Peoria, Illinois. He graduated from Hallsville High School in 1990 with honors, and received a scholarship to Tyler Junior College in debate. He graduated from Kilgore Junior College with an associate's degree in arts. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1995, with training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, and was trained as a physical therapist. While at Lackland, he was the base coach for the soccer team. After his honorable discharge from the U.S. Air Force, he returned to college at Southwest Texas University, where he received his bachelor's degree in arts and sciences. While attending Southwest Texas, he entered U.S. Air Force ROTC training and received his officer's commission upon graduation. His first duty station was at Vandenberg Air Force Base, where he received guided missile training. Upon completion of his training, he was stationed at Maelstrom Air Force Base, where he was in guided missiles. His current duty station was at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, where he was a deputy base commander and was a services specialist. Jim was a man who lived and loved his family, God, and country. He is survived by mother and stepfather, Bonnie Ashmore and Doug of Hallsville; stepbrothers, Michael Reid and wife, Angela of Gladewater, Steven Ashmore and wife, Teresa of Hallsville, Robert Ashmore and wife, Madonna of Marshall, and Max Hunter of Hallsville; stepsisters, Kara Beth Quinn and husband, Charles of Royce City, Elizabeth Johnson of Hallsville, and Jasmine Hunter of Hallsville; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
