Fort, Myrtle Vickery Graveside services for Myrtle Vickery Fort, 67, of Longview, will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2007, at Grace Hill Cemetery with the Rev. David Lanagan officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Ms. Fort passed away Saturday morning at her home in Longview. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Myrtle was born on February 18, 1940, in Longview, Texas, to Jim and Thelma Vickery. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Longview and a homemaker. Myrtle was a loving mother, grandmother, and a wonderful friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Lee Fort in 2001; son, Randy Fort; her parents; brothers, Richard and Charlie Vickery; sisters, Nellie Smith and Carol Wiley; and sisters-in-law, Sue Fort and Sandra Lloyd. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons and a daughter-in-law, Steve and Denise Fort of Memphis, Tenn., and Mark Fort of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Jerry Herbison of Longview; grandchildren, Katie and Lauren Fort of Memphis, Tenn., Kyndall and Casey Ricks of Longview and Justin Oney of Longview; one great- grandchild, Hayden Ricks of Longview; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Danny Daniels of Longview; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Sherry Vickery of Longview and James and Velma Vickery of Longview; brothers and sisters-in-law, Arthur Fort of Longview, Mary and Mayo Lanagan of Lone Star and Sharon Fort of Palm Springs, Calif.
