Glanden, Annie Mae Irby Annie Mae Irby Glanden, 85, born June 15,1920, passed away April 21, 2006. Mae was born in Newsome, Texas, to Marvin and Eva Irby. She lived in Longview for most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Lyna Irby Rymer; and her grandson, Larry Howell Jr. Mae is survived by her husband, Gene Glanden; son, Gerald Steed of Longview; son, Johnnie Steed and wife, Nicki, of Longview; daughter, Dr. Shirley Barker Strange-Allen of Ashland, Va.; son, James Barker Jr. and wife, LeeAnn, of Wake Village; son, Roy Barker and wife, Donese, of Linden; daughter, Bobbye Sonnier and husband, Jo-El, of Lake Charles, La.; son, David Weaver and partner, Bonsack Phrasavath, of Austin; 12 grandchildren; one niece; four grand-nieces; two grand-nephews; sister-in-law, June Stevens, of Talladega, Ala.; and sister-in-law, Barbara Haywood and husband, Hoot, of Talladega, Ala. Visitation will be today, April 23, from 3-5 p.m. at Lakeview Funeral Home. The family will have a private graveside service at another location.
