Green, Max Delmer MARSHALL -- Services for Max Delmer Green, 66, of Longview, Texas, will be 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon, January 7, 2007, at Cypress Valley Bible Church in Marshall, Texas, with Bob Bryant and Bruce Green officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home. Mr. Green was born July 8, 1940, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to Gilmer Green and Essie Johnson Green. He passed away January 4, 2007, in Longview, Texas, surrounded by his family and friends. He attended Nacogdoches schools. Mr. Green loved to play golf, travel, visit with friends he met while traveling, and gambling. His family reports he was very lucky. Mr. Green was a member of Cypress Valley Bible Church of Marshall, Texas. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He married Caca Grigsby on July 30, 1982. Mr. Green was employed by Red Simpson, Inc. for 11 years as a regional manager at the time of his retirement in 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Caca Green of Longview, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Brenda Green of Longview; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Phil Shupak of Somerville; one stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Robbie and Brenda Lisman of Marshall; one stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Becky and Michael Eggleston of Cedar Hill; one sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Paul Tinkle of Lufkin; one brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Debra Green of Tupelo, Mississippi; one brother-in-law, Harold and Omie Grigsby of Marshall; one sister-in-law, Jeanette and Carroll Kinsey of Longview; nine grandchildren, Candy Thurmon, Paul McWhorter and wife, Tommie, Kylie Lisman, Ryne Lisman, Rhett Lisman, Justin Eggleston and wife, Laura, Candace Young and husband, Ben, Blake Green and fiancee, Whitney Ferguson; six great-grandchildren, Ty Young, Julian Eggleston, Cailyn Nash, Drake Furrh, Daigen Barnes, and Dylan Thurmon; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Blake Green, Ben Young, Rhett Lisman, Ryne Lisman, Justin Eggleston, and Paul McWhorter. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday evening, January 6, 2007, at Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas.
