GLADEWATER -- Services for James W. Garner, 75, of 
Gladewater, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2007, 
at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater, with 
Leamon Keele officiating. Burial will be in Friendship 
Cemetery. Born March 31, 1931, in Gladewater, Texas, 
he died Saturday, January 6, 2007. He was a veteran of 
the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Barbara L. 
Garner of Gladewater; four sons, Gary D. Garner of Gilmer, 
James Ray Walker of Longview, Gordon Van Garner of Hawkins 
and Robert Eugene Garner of Marshall; two daughters, Mona 
Lynn Walker of Longview and Patricia Gail Garner of 
Hawkins; 19 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; three 
sisters, Dorothy Jo Hazelwood of Gladewater, Peggy Ann 
Stegall of Gladewater and Wanda Jo Fuller of Tennessee; and 
several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his 
brother, Ray Eugene Garner. The family will receive friends 
6-8 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2007, at Croley Funeral Home in 
Gladewater.
