Gerber, Joseph Phillip "Bill" Bill was born May 4, 1933, in Joliet, Montana, to Joseph and Lydia Gerber. He died May 10, 2007. Mr. Gerber had been a resident of Longview since 1991. He had retired here from Big 3 Industries after 30 years of service. He was also a special staff sergeant in the U.S.A.F. He was a loving, caring husband, father and grandfather. He was one of the greatest friends to many who knew him. He will be sadly and dearly missed. Mr. Gerber was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lydia Gerber; his wife of 42 years, Margie Bryant Gerber; one brother; and one sister. Survivors include his children: sons, Stephen Phillip Gerber and wife, Teeny, and Fredrick Henry Gerber and wife, Lisa; one daughter, Sharon Gerber Tomek and her husband, Larry; grandchildren, Joseph II, Natalie, Stephen, Megan and Matthew Gerber, Brandi Tomek-Alvarez and husband, Eduardo, Sydni Casanover, Alexis Tomek; great-grandchildren, Madison and Sabrina Gerber, Xander and Zayden Alvarez; extended families, Sissy Wright and husband, Pete, and their daughter, Jessilyn, and Lisa Stewart and husband, Russell, and their children, Cody and Kole; and special friend, Sarah Turner. As per my father's request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, make memorial donations to your favorite charity. Please see the manager of the Waffle Shoppe to sign the memory book.
