Goolsby, Ruth Latham Sept. 19, 1914 - Mar. 10, 2007/Funeral services for Ruth Latham Goolsby, 92, of Jefferson, Texas, formerly of Longview, Texas, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bobby Moore, Brother Charles Moore and Dr. Graves Enck officiating. Interment will follow in Clayton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Goolsby passed away Saturday, March 10, 2007, in Marshall, Texas. Ruth Gertrude Latham Goolsby was born September 19, 1914, in Gary, Texas, to W.H. and Ila Brannon Latham. Mrs. Goolsby graduated from a Nacogdoches-area high school. She married Upson Goolsby May 7, 1933, in Clayton, Texas. Mrs. Goolsby had lived in Jefferson for the past four years, moving from Longview, where she resided from 1960 until 2003 and was a member of Ware Acres Baptist Church. Before 1960, Mrs. Goolsby lived in Carthage and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 5, 1995, and three sisters, Laverne Lade, Alice Hough Jarvis and Leahpaul Latham. Mrs. Goolsby is survived by one daughter, Janice Enck and husband, Graves, of Memphis, Tenn; one son, James Latham Goolsby and wife, Sharon, of Marshall, Texas; one brother, William T. Latham and wife, Delores, of New Ulm, Texas; one sister, Jane Butler of Jefferson, Texas; four grandchildren, Linda Ogin of Temecula, Calif., Gregg Goolsby of Dallas, Texas, Jimmy Enck of London, England, and Mike Enck of Memphis, Tenn.; and six great-grandchildren, Gregory Ogin, Garrett Ogin, Eva Enck, Iris Enck, Will Enck and Walker Enck.
