Gunn, Margaret Horton FORT WORTH - Margaret Horton Gunn, 81, formerly of Longview, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2007, in Fort Worth. A celebration of the life of Margaret Horton Gunn will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 10, 2007, at Danville Cemetery of Kilgore. Arrangements are by Greenwood Funeral Home, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76107. Margaret was born August 16, 1925, to Ivy Lou and Porter Samuel Horton, a pioneer family of Gregg County. For many years, Margaret owned and operated Park Terrace Beauty Salon in Abilene. After retirement, she returned to Longview to enjoy her family. Her incredible talent as a seamstress delighted her daughters and grandchildren, who became recipients of her beautifully tailored creations. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jesse Bertram Horton; and her husband, Dan Phillip Gunn. Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Howell and husband, C.M. Howell of Dallas, and Catherine Hopkins and husband, Dennis of Arlington; and sister, Nancy Lee Horton. She was blessed with three grandchildren, Porter Howell and wife, Angela, of Franklin, Tenn., Kendall Howell Vela and husband, Ray, of Dallas, and Noah Michael Sheetz and wife, Tara, of Milan, N.Y.; and four beautiful great- grandchildren, Hayden, Lauren Howell, Holden and Sloan Vela.
