CREMATION OR CEMETERY - GREGG COUNTY Robert “Bob” Green, age 47, of Longview died Saturday, January 10, 2015, at home surrounded by family and friends after a courageous 3 ˝ year battle with colon cancer. Bob was born January 27, 1967, in Vernon, TX, to Robert “Darwyn” and Mary Green. He grew up in Seagraves, TX, and graduated from Seagraves High School. He married his high-school sweetheart, Carol Cranmer, in 1987. He earned his B.S. in Pharmacy from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, then he and Carol moved to Lubbock to begin his 26-year career as a hospital pharmacist. After Lubbock, the Greens moved to Clovis, NM, then to Portland, OR, for several years before coming to Longview. All those who knew Bob enjoyed his ready smile, quick wit, and encouraging manner. He was a runner, who completed 10 half-marathons before becoming sick. He was an active, engaged father to his three daughters and supportive, loving husband to Carol for 27 years. He loved music, cooking, hiking and camping, roller coasters, family vacations, and adventure. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church. Survivors include his wife Carol and three daughters, Mallory, Amanda, and Shelby; his mother Mary Green of Seagraves; sisters Karen Bownds of Denver City and Kim Gilmore of Lubbock; father-and-mother-in-law Warren and Twyla Wallace of Santa Anna, and six nieces and nephews.
