Hansen, Wilford R. "Bill" 


Funeral services for Wilford R. "Bill" Hansen, 85, of Longview, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2006, in the Welch Funeral Home Chapel, with Thomas Hogland officiating. Mr. Hansen died Sunday, August 13, 2006, at a local hospital. Mr. Hansen was born April 24, 1921, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and worked for the Longview Parks department for several years. He was a member of Greggton Church of Christ and a retired welder. Mr. Hansen was also a Mason and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include his wife, Frances Virginia Hansen of Longview; sons and daughters-in-law, Wilford Frank and Louise Hansen of Hampton, Va., and James Ray and Betty Hansen of Sand Springs, Okla.; daughters and sons-in-law, Jean Anne and Frank Ferrando of Germantown, Md., and Susan and Jeffrey Wall of New Orleans, La.; sister, Myrtle Rushing of Copperas Cove; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Theresa Dodson of Longview; and brother-in-law, C.W. Hearne and wife, Christene, of Royce City. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
