February 10, 1985 Giles A. Harris Services for Giles A. Harris, 92, of Longview will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Pine Tree Church of Christ with Roy White and John Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home. Mr. Harris died Sunday in a Longview hospital after a brief illness. He had lived in Longview since 1932, after moving from Gladewater. He was a member of the Pine Tree Church of Christ and was a lawyer. He graduated from the University of Texas in Austin and was the mayor in Moran, Texas, from 1923 to 1931. He practiced law in Greggton from 1950 to 1974 and was a member of the Texas Bar Association. Survivors include his wife, Florence; two sons, Wiley G. of Conroe and Walter L. of Houston; two daughters, Ellen Fletcher of McAllen and Bonnie Rogers of Copperas Cove; one sister, Mary Harris of New York; two stepsons, Milton and Frank Brown both of Longview; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
