Saturday December 19, 1931 Victim of Lethal Fluid is Given Last Rites Here Final rites were held Friday afternoon for Rollo Harrison, 37, owner of the Majestic Cleaners here. The funeral was held from the home of his brother, J. B. Harrison, Jr., 110 West cotton street. Harrison was the victim of cleaning chemical poisoning by accident at his place of business some two weeks ago. Mistaking a glass which had previously contained a portion of the poisonous fluid for a drinking glass, Mr. Harrison poured water into the container and drank it. Enough of the chemical residue remained in the glass to cause poisoning which made Mr Harrison seriously ill at the time. However, after about two days he was believed on the road to recovery and has since been confined to his home and the Markham sanitarium when a turn for the worse was noticed. Only Thursday evening friends saw him at the hospital and believe him convalescing. But during the night, the insidious poison still in his system, claimed his life. Mr Harrison, a single man, comes from one of Longview's prominent family who have resided here for years. He was a affable man with a legion of friends. He is survived by his mother, two sisters, Mrs Louis Persons, widow of the late postmaster of Longview, and MrsFrank Koontz, and a brother J. B. Harrison, Jr., all of Longview. Following services from the west Cotton street residence, interment is being held in Grace Hill cemetery with Forman's in charge.
