Wednesday April 24, 1929 Joe Henderson Joe Henderson, about 65, died at a local sanitarium at 1:35 this morning, after a week's illness of a critical nature. The funeral services were held at the home of his daughter, Mrs Fred Adams on N. Fredonia street this afternoon at 4 o'clock, conducted by Rev Dr. R. M. Hall, pastor of the First Presbyterian church. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery. Mr. Henderson is a prominent farmer of Gregg county and is held with high esteem. His home was in the Winterfield community. He is survived by his wife and following children: Charles Henderson, Mrs Fred Adams, Clyde Henderson, Raymond Henderson, Miss Myra Henderson of this city, and Mrs Sid Keasler of Hallsville, Mrs Dunn of Garden City and Dr. Roy Henderson of Atens; and his brothers Tom Henderson, Arthur Henderson, Sid Henderson, John Henderson and one sister, Mrs R. T. Henderson. Active pallbearers were E O McWhorter, C. A. Meadows, Algie Curtis, Seth Davis, D. D. Meredith, E. M. Brameltte, W. R. Hughes and Henry Reel.
