Hensley, C. C. "Jr." KILGORE - Graveside services for Junior Hensley, 72, of Kilgore, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2006, at Kilgore Memorial Gardens with the Rev. James Baker and Steve Hearn eulogists. After a long and courageous battle with leukemia, Mr. Hensley went home. Mr. Hensley was a loving and faithful husband, devoted and proud father, encouraging and caring grandfather and, even if only for a short time, a devoted great-grandfather. Junior worked in the East Texas Oil Field for many years as an independent welder. He was born in Shirley, Arkansas, on September 18, 1933, and went home on April 27, 2006. He was surrounded by his family and love when he went home. Mr. Hensley is survived by his loving wife, Priscilla; his daughter, Roshelle and her husband, James D. Baker; his two grandchildren, Ashley B. Tompkins and James Christopher Baker; and his mother-in-law, Pearl Hearn, will also miss him. He is also survived by many, many friends whom he considered close family and blood kin. His father and mother, C.C. and Sylvia Hensley, and his great-granddaughter, Lyra Summer Tompkins, preceded him in death.
