Emma Higginbotham

Services for Mrs. Emma "Mimi" Higginbotham, 92, of Longview will be 
10 a.m. Saturday at Welch Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kenneth Mann 
and the Rev. Dewayne Beaty officiating.

Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Higginbotham died Thursday night at a local hospital after a long 
illness. 

She was born Nov. 1, 1892 and as a young woman did substitute teaching 
in Hunt County and later became associated with the firm of Higginbotham, 
Bailey, and Logan in Dallas. She had been a resident of Longview for many 
years and was a Pentecostal.

Survivors include a daughter, Jo Sompson of Longview; a son, J.D. Baker of 
Mooringsport, La.; three sisters; two brothers, four grandchildren; seven 
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
