Tuesday January 15, 1924 E. L. Hiel, Local T.-P. Conductor Dies Monday E. L. Hill, Texas and Pacific conductor, who resided at 406 Melson avenue, Longview, died in the T. P. hospital at Marshall last night at 9:30 o'clock. His remains were brought to Longview on No. 21 and taken to the late residence to await funeral arrangements. Mr. Hill is survived by his widow and one child. Mrs Hill's parents are expected today from Handley, after which funeral arrangements will be announced. Mr Hill was a popular and efficient employe of the railroad and has a host of warm friends in this city who will sincerely regret his death. Monday January 21, 1924 In Memory of the Late Edward Lee Hill Edward Lee Hill was the son of J. B. and Cora Hill, and was born at Gilmer, Upshur county, Texas on March 18, 1885. Death came Monday night, January 14, at 9:30 o'clock at the T. & P. hospital at Marshall, where he had undergone an operation Saturday afternoon previously. Mr Hill was married in Grand Saline some years ago to Miss Jewel Robertson later moving to Mineola and thence to Longview, where they had made their home for some time. The funeral was conducted at the First Baptist church of Longview in the presence of a large number of loving friends, together with the widow, the fine little lad of nine years, James Edward Hill, who is the only child; his father, mother, and brother, all of Handley and other relatives.
