Mabel Hipp

Services for Mabel Hipp, 82, of Tyler will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Welch 
Funeral Home of Longview with the Rev. Dewayne Beaty officiating.

Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Hipp died Wednesday afternoon in a Tyler hospital.

She was a former Longview resident, residing in Tyler three years. She was 
a retired teacher with the Longview schools and member of the First Baptist 
Church of Longview. She was a member of the East Texas Teachers Association 
and founded Stresscope Counciling Services in Tyler. She taught school 41 
years and founded BXYZ at the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Ewing Chamblee of Dallas; a great-niece, Mrs. 
Archie (Charlotte) Veal of Tyler; a great-great-nephew; and two 
great-great-nieces.
