Hopkins, Marie Pauline 
Funeral services for Marie Pauline Hopkins, 83, of Longview, will be 
2 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2006, in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home, 
with the Rev. Dow Harleston officiating. Interment will follow in 
Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Marie passed away Wednesday, July 
12, 2006, at her residence. She was born July 3, 1923, in Vinita, 
Oklahoma, to William P. and Emma Simmons Nair. Mrs. Hopkins was a 
member of the Greggton First Baptist Church, worked as a key punch 
operator for Lone Star Steel, and was a 49-year member of the Eastern 
Star No. 610 of Longview. Marie is survived by her husband, Roy Edgar 
Hopkins of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, Leroy Hopkins and wife, 
Nita, of Longview; one grandson, Michael Hopkins; four granddaughters 
and their spouses, Susan and Kelly Flatt, Tresia and Mark Bennett, 
Wendy and Billy Hagenbucher of Longview, and Cindy and Venton McFadden 
of Quitman; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and 
one sister, Agnes May Franks of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Pallbearers 
will be grandson, Michael Hopkins; and great-grandsons, Gavin and Cody 
Flatt, Jay Paul and Shawn Hagenbucher, and Ryan Bennett. The family will 
receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today, July 16, 2006, at the funeral home.
