Hester, Jake

KILGORE -- Funeral services for Jake Hester, 41, of Hallsville, 
will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2007, at the Rader 
Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore, with Brother John Gradberg 
officiating. Interment will follow in Danville Cemetery. Mr. 
Hester died Monday, February 26, 2007, at a local hospital. 
Jake was born November 25, 1965, in Tyler, to Janie Smith 
Easterling and John Roy Hester. He was a loving man. He loved 
children and was a good friend to all who knew him. Jake loved 
to fish in his spare time and cook for family and friends. He 
was a member of the Stone Ridge Baptist Church. His father, 
Richard Smith, preceded Mr. Hester in death. Survivors include 
his wife, Constance Hester; mother, Janie Smith Easterling and 
her husband, Dale, of Elderville; one son, Joshua Hart and wife, 
Niki, of Longview; one grandson, Elijah Hart; one sister, Tina 
Smith Brown and husband, Tom, of Richardson; brother, Clayton 
Smith of Houston; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces 
and nephews. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. this evening, 
February 28, 2007, at the funeral home. Please leave online
