Hill, Jo Ann Cotten Jo Ann Cotten Hill passed away April 30, 2007, at Good Shepherd Medical Center. Mrs. Hill was 80 years old. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at the First Assembly of God on Fourth Street, with Randy Carter officiating. Mrs. Hill is survived by her husband of 19 years, Lonnie H. Hill; sister and brother-in-law, Irline and Ike Metcalf; her three children and their spouses, Lauren and Clint Golemon, John A. and Linda Cotten, and Russell W. and Margareta Cotten; and her stepchildren, Doug Hill and Brenda Newby. Mrs. Hill is also survived by six grandchildren, Shane Cotten, Chris Cotten, Robin and husband, Curtis Yoder, Jace Cotten, Aimee and husband, Marc Rider, and Joshua and wife, Jody Golemon; and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, John A. Cotten; parents, Irl Roy Lowry and Ethel Lee Vance Lowry; as well as brothers, James Wendell Lowry and Nolan Wayne Lowry. She was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother-in-law, Marion and Al Stewart. Mrs. Hill graduated from Longview High School. She was "Miss Longview" in 1946, and runner-up in the "Miss Texas" pageant of 1946. Mrs. Hill was a talented artist in ceramics as well as oil and water colors.
