Friday Afternoon February 24, 1933 Pioneer Longview Woman Succumbs To Stroke Attack Mrs Molly Holbrook, 67, for 40 years a resident of Longiew, succumbed to a paralytic stroke which she suffered several days ago. Mrs Holbrook was known through-out the city for her Christian and mother work. She adopted and raised three orphans girls, all of whom were at her bedside at the end. Funeral arrangements were incomplete Friday afternoon. Saturday Morning February 25, 1933 Woman 40 Years in Longview To Be Buried Today Funeral services for Mrs Mary I Holbrook. 67, who was a resident of Longview for 40 years will be held this morning at 10 o'clock from the Welch's Funeral chapel with burial in the Grace Hill cemetery. Rev John L Whorton of the First Baptist church will officiate at the final rites. Mrs Holbrook died Thursday night from effects of the paralytic stroke. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs Rosie Gray of Troupe, Mrs Mag Hamilton, Henderson; Miss Flora Worley, Longview; one brother, J L Worley, Troupe; grandchildren, Mrs Edna Boatman, Mrs Hattie Deason and Mrs Nellie Hart, all of Dallas.
