Services for Ruth L. Hollis will be held at a later date at 
Fort Stockton, Texas Church of Christ. Ruth passed away March 
4, 2007, at Haven Care Nursing center in Longview, where she 
had been a resident since April 30, 2001, moving from Fort 
Stockton. She was born March 4, 1918, in Paul's Valley, 
Oklahoma, to Roy and Stella Shelton. She was preceded in 
death by her husband, Oran; son-in-law, Jud Hillje of Cotulla, 
Texas; parents, Roy and Stella Shelton of Wayne, Oklahoma; 
sisters, Lois Tate of Purcell, Oklahoma and Moett Marshall of 
San Antonio, Texas. She is survived by her son and daughter-
in-law, Dwayne and Sue Hollis of Chandler, Arizona; daughters, 
Gail Wilks of Longview and Kay Hillje of Cotulla, Texas; sister, 
Ruby Tate of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Evelyn 
McAtee of Fort Smith, Arkansas; sister and brother-in-law, Bill 
and Laverne Walch of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; and numerous 
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, 
nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests 
memorial donations be made to Alzheimer Alliance of Northeast 
Texas, 3613 S. Broadway Ave., No. 401, Tyler, TX 75701; or the 
church or charity of your choice.
