KILGORE - Services for Myrtle "Mickey" Elizabeth Head, 75, of Kilgore, 
will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel. 
Burial will follow in Rusk County Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Head died May 
19, 2007, in Longview.

Head, Myrtle Elizabeth "Mickey"

KILGORE - Services for Myrtle Elizabeth "Mickey" Head, 75, will be held 
at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel, 
with the Reverend Dr. Russ Barksdale officiating. Burial will follow in 
Rusk County Memorial Gardens.

She was at Good Shepherd Medical Center when she finished her race 
Saturday, May 19, 2007. On Saturday, May 19, 2007, Myrtle "Mickey" Head's 
heart would beat its last as her soul would begin the final journey home 
to receive the eternal prize promised by her Lord, Jesus Christ.

Mickey was born February 19, 1932, in Hibbing, Minnesota. She was the 
daughter of Wilbur and Gladys McGuire, and a sibling to five. In 1960, 
following an honorable discharge from the United States Army, of which 
she served as sergeant for four years, Mickey moved to Texas with her 
husband, Clarence Head, whom she met during service. Clarence drove an 
ambulance and also served as sergeant in the U.S. Army.

Mickey was preceded in death by her brother, Bill.

She is survived by four children, John Head of Texarkana, Patti Hunt of 
Arlington, David Head of Liberty City and Mary Watkins of Liberty City; 
four siblings, Ted, Jim, Audrey, and Tom; eight grandchildren; two great-
grandchildren; as well as many other loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. this evening, May 22, 2007, 
at Rader Funeral Home.
