Henson Sr., Walter Byron Walter Byron Henson Sr., 70, was born July 22, 1937, to William and Velma Satterwhite Henson, and he died September 17, 2007. A native East Texan, Mr. Henson served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and was a heavy equipment operator, having been involved in many significant construction projects in the Longview area. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenny Henson. Mr. Henson is survived by his wife, Linda; sons and daughters-in-law, Robin Henson and Stacy, Walter B. "Fuzzy" Henson Jr. and Phillis, Michael Henson and Lisa, and Dale Henson and Carla; daughter, Tammy Miller; daughter and son-in-law, Mindy Green and James; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Allyne Wells and Marie Loyd; brother, Neil Henson; and special friend, Collum Melton. Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Savannah Cemetery in Red River County. Cremation arrangements are by Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
