Hester, Charles   	

Charles Hester, 86, of Longview, died Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at his residence.

He was born July 21, 1920, in Yoakum, to Thomas and Willie Hester.

Charles proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945. He retired 
from LeTourneau with many faithful years as a welder.

Charles was preceded in death by one son, Michael Hester.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, David Hester and wife, Carol of 
Longview; daughters, Karen Hegner and husband, Gerard of Dallas, and Mary Hurt 
and husband, Doug of Sheridan, Arkansas; stepdaughter, Jackie Thompson and husband, 
Stan; and numerous grandchildren and step grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007, in the 
Field of Honor at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

There will be no scheduled visitation. Friends and family may sign the register 
book and pay their respects from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. today, July 20, 2007, at Lakeview 
Funeral Home.
