Services for Mr. Marvin Harris, 91 of Longview, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Pleasant Green Baptist Church, Longview, TX. Rev. Richard M. Holloway will be the eulogist. Interment will follow in Wyche Cemetery, Longview, TX. Arrangements are with Craig Funeral Home. 

Visitation hours will be from 12-8 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 at the funeral home.

Marvin Harris was born April 12, 1924 to the parentage of Jake and Lelia Harris of Laneville, TX, who preceded him in death.

In 1945, he married Berta Lee Morris, their union lasted 66 years and she preceded him in death.

He worked for Kelly Supply Company many years. He also worked for Sears for over 30 years, where he retired.

He joined Mt. Zion at an early age, then Pleasant Green Baptist Church where he was a devoted member, Deacon and Usher.

Profoundly saddened by his passing are his daughter, Lorrie Harris (Charles) of Houston, TX; grandchildren: Shonda (Jesse) of Spring, TX, Marlayna (Tanis) of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren: Jhaylen Williams, Joshua Williams, Jalei Williams, Ari Espinoza, Aeriel Espinoza; god- children: Rebekah Mills, Rachel Mills, Robert Mills, Bryton Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives & friends.
