Services for Robert E. Holmes, 79, of Tatum, will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 
28, 2007, at Lakeview Baptist Church, 10522 FM 2011, with the Rev. Ted White 
officiating. Burial will follow in Elderville Cemetery. Arrangements are by 
Welch Funeral Home. Mr. Holmes died December 20, 2007, at a local medical 
center.

Born October 24, 1928, in Dyersburg, Tenn., he was a member of Lakeview 
Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Patsy Holmes Armstrong; son, 
Larry Wayne Holmes; and sister, Peggy Sue Ranney. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. 
Thursday, December 27, 2007, at the funeral home.
