Jackson, Alvin Eugene Alvin Eugene Jackson, 77, of Longview, passed away March 19, 2007. He was born July 5, 1929, in Mount Holly, Arkansas, to Ernest and Gladys Jackson. He was a railroad car mechanic and retired from Shipper's Car Line. He also was a Baptist. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Jackson; and a son, Bo Jackson, both in 1989. He is survived by his two daughters, Grace Emmel and her husband, Mike, of Longview and Gladys Herberger and her husband, Del, also of Longview; one brother, Thomas Jackson and his wife, Annie, of Smackover, Arkansas; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2007, at the chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
