Jackson, Maerita   	

Funeral services for Maerita Jackson, 95, of Longview, will be held at 
10 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2007, at Oakland Heights Baptist Church, with 
Pastor Tom Roberson and David Lawson officiating. Interment will follow 
in Rosemound Cemetery of Commerce.

Mrs. Jackson passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at a local care center.

She was born October 5, 1911, in Elgin, Ohio. Mrs. Jackson had been a 
resident of Longview since 1984. She was an active member of Oakland 
Heights Baptist Church.

Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Horn; her husband, 
Curtis Jackson; her sister, Helen Holloway; and her nephew, Richard A. 
Holloway, a Vietnam War veteran.

Left to cherish memories of "Aunt Rita" are her nephews, Lowell Holloway 
Jr. and wife, Shirley, and Robert Holloway Sr. and wife, Anita; nieces, 
Claire and husband, John Hines, and Frances Holloway; great-nieces and 
great-nephews, Holly Hines, Richard Holloway and wife, Michelle, Robert 
Holloway Jr., Kristi Holloway Hall and husband, Ben, Karrie Shivers and 
husband, J.J., Pam Green, Kelli Harrod and husband, Mike, Marci Arnold, 
Laura Holloway, Julie Dowell, Scott Jordan and wife, Loida, Don Jordan, 
Monica Mott and Rick Fopay; numerous great-great-neices and nephews; and 
her dearest friend, Mildred Works.

The family extends special thanks to care providers, Sara Sullivan, Tracy 
Brookshire, Linda McCormick and Keesha Durham.

Memorial donations may be made to Oakland Heights Baptist Church or Meals 
On Wheels.

The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. this evening, May 17, 2007, at 
Welch Funeral Home.
