Jesters, Dean 


Graveside services for Dean Jesters, 73, of Longview, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 
6, at Grace Hill Cemetery with Jay McCasland officiating. Arrangements are by East 
Texas Funeral Home of Longview. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, June 5, at the 
funeral home. Mr. Jesters passed away June 2, 2006, at a local care facility. He was 
born December 28, 1932, in Longview, to Frank Jesters and Helen Bishop Hall. Dean was 
a lifelong resident of Longview. He was the owner and operator of European Motors in 
Longview for more than 30 years. He was a master mechanic and had a passion for 
racing motor scooters, motorcycles, go-karts and cars. He was preceded in death by 
his mother, Helen Hall; his beloved grandparents, Charles E. and Edna L. Bishop; and 
his special uncle, Don R. Bishop Sr. Survivors include his sons, Michael Dean Jesters 
and wife, Patty, of Kilgore, Thomas Dean Jesters and wife, Shelly, of Gilmer, and 
Alton Dean Jesters of White Oak; daughters, Deana Jesters Hutson of Kilgore, and Alta 
Denise Jesters of White Oak; special cousins, Don R. Bishop, Charles D. Bishop, Pat 
Townsend and Gloria Sanders; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
