Johnson, Ada Lou Funeral services for Ada Lou Johnson, 85, of White Oak, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2006, in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with Mr. Thomas Hogland and Mr. Clyde Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. today, August 22, 2006, at Rader Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson went to be with her Lord on Monday morning at a local hospital. A native of Hughes Springs, Texas, she was born July 26, 1921, and had lived in the Longview area 51 years, coming from Mount Pleasant. She was a retired salesperson with Sears and a member of the Greggton Church of Christ. A devoted Christian, wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her husband, Bill A. Johnson of White Oak, whom she married September 22, 1941; daughters, Billie Cooley and husband, Chuck of Kilgore, and Karen Williams and husband, Lowell of Liberty City; grandchildren, Kerrie Garner, Wendie and Kyle Waldron, and Sandi Moody; great-grandchildren, April and Jody Lamb, Justin and Sarah Barrett, Wayne Waldron and Halie Moody; great-great-grandchild, Autumn Destifino; sisters, Bill Delk and Clovis Brown; brother, Robert "Bud" Brown; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carrie and Samuel Brown; sisters, Carolyn Bolton, Evelyn Beene, Marguaret Hall and Cleo O'Dell; and brothers, R.L. Brown and Howard Brown.
