Johnson, Harry Fry Harry Fry Johnson was born September 26, 1922, in Wills Point, Texas, to Jess Franklin and Orline Cabiness Johnson. He was a graduate of the Longview High School Class of 1939. Mr. Johnson also attended the University of Houston for undergraduate studies. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Longview. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Grace Hill Cemetery. Mr. Johnson married Florence Elizabeth Roberts of Virgie, Kentucky, on September 28, 1950. He retired from Panhandle Eastern Gas and pipeline Co. after 30 years of service. Mr. Johnson was a first sergeant for the 96th division, 381st regiment and 41st quartermaster war dog platoon of the Army of the United States. His World War II service included combat duties in the Philippines and surrounding areas. Specifically, he fought at Lahti from October 1944 - March 1945, and Okinawa from April 1945 (D-Day) - May 1945. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his father; mother; and brothers, James, Herschel, Luis and Homer Johnson. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Florence of Longview; son, Harry R. Johnson and wife, Mary; son, John R. Johnson; daughter, Donna C. Johnson and partner, Michelle; grandson, Ben Johnson; and sister-in-law, Jane Johnson.
