Jenkins, Ruth Smith Stevens Gunter

JACKSONVILLE - Services for Ruth Smith Stevens Gunter Jenkins will be at 2 p.m. today, 
November 1, 2007, at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville, with Brother Randall 
Birdsong officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens of Longview. Mrs. 
Jenkins died October 29, 2007.

Born February 26, 1922, in Turney, she was a longtime teacher for Turney, Gaston and 
Pine Tree elementary schools and member of Jacksonville Garden Club and Ponta First 
Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Thomas Stevens and Mark Stevens; and 
sister, Oleta Smith Gray.
