Keele, Jean T. Marshall KILGORE -- Funeral services for Jean T. Marshall Keele, 81, of Liberty City, will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2006, at the Oakdale Church of Christ, with Minister Rick Henslee and Minister Bill Keele officiating. Burial will follow at 4: p.m. in the Fairview Cemetery of Denison, Texas. Mrs. Keele passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2006, in Longview. Mrs. Keele was born February 25, 1925, in Denison, Texas, to her late parents M.M. and Alta Marshall. She graduated from Denison H.S. and went on to attend Harding University, where she earned a master's degree. Mrs. Keele was married to Leamon G. Keele on August 23, 1967. They lived in Tampa and Crystal River, Florida, as well as Celeste, Fort Worth, and Fairfield, Texas, before moving to Liberty City. Mrs. Keele will be remembered as the ideal minister's wife. She spent her life ministering to others with a smile and working for the Lord. Mrs. Keele will also be remembered for teaching and shepherding children about the Bible. She was an active member of the Oakdale Church of Christ in Liberty City, where her husband Leamon G. Keele is the minister. Mrs. Keele volunteered at U.T. Health Center and spent many hours visiting patients at local hospitals. Mrs. Keele is survived by her husband, Minister Leamon G. Keele of Liberty City; daughter, Rebecca Subrahmanyam of Tallahassee, Florida; sister Sybil Oliver of Fort Worth; brother and sister-in-law, Murray and Geri Marshall of Ennis; granddaughter, Asha Nichols; grandson, Prem Subrahmanyam; 16 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.
