Kennedy, Erik James Services for Erik James Kennedy, 19, of Longview, will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 4656 Page Road, with Minister Will Hagle and Minister Cory Perkins officiating, under the direction of Welch Funeral Home, 4619 Judson Road. Erik went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 20, 2007. Erik was born October 10, 1987, in Longview. He was a graduate of Hallsville High School and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Erik worked at Trinity Industries as a welder. He enjoyed soccer, cooking, and life guarding at Crystal Springs at Maud, Texas. Erik is survived by his father, James "Buddy" Kennedy; his mother, Sue Kennedy; his sister, Lacee Kennedy, all of Longview; grandparents, Joe Pat and Patricia Kennedy of DeKalb, Gloria Juhase of Longview and Stanley Simmons of Dade City, Florida; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
