King, Mae McCreary LUFKIN - Mae McCreary King, 80, of Longview, was born July 29, 1926, in Starks, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Minnie Stanley and Ocie Clark. She passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2007, at her residence. Mrs. King was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith, and had resided in the Longview area for the past 15 years. Preceding Mrs. King in death were her husband, M.A. King, in 1988; two brothers; and a grandson, Wayne McCreary. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James and Linda McCreary of Longview; son, Mike McCreary of Lufkin; four grandsons; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons; 13 great- granddaughters; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers will be James Preston McCreary, Royce Seal Jr., Martin Pool, Steve Hutchison, Tom Hutchison and Kelly Hutchison. Honorary pallbearer will be William McCreary. Services for Mrs. King will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2007, at the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel of Lufkin, with the Reverend John Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Wallace Chapel Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. this evening, July 28, 2007, at Gipson Funeral Home.
