Kinney, Leatrice "Evelynn" Services for Leatrice "Evelynn" Kinney, 83, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel, 1617 Judson Road, with the Rev. Jerry Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Mrs. Kinney died Sunday evening, January 21, 2007, at a local hospital. She was born September 27, 1923, in Hewitt, Oklahoma, to Emmett L. and Nola Simmons Johnson. She grew up in the White Oak area, and spent most of her adult life traveling and living overseas with her later husband, Carlton A. Kinney, during his life work in oil exploration. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ross and Beverly Kinney of Kilgore; her son, Dean Kinney of Kilgore; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Mike Slusher of Grapevine; and her grandchildren, Scott and Leann Slusher.
