Kinney, Thomas B. KILGORE -- Services for Tom Kinney, 77, of Kilgore, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Hilburn and the Rev. David Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Mr. Kinney died Sunday, December 17, 2006, in Kilgore. He was born August 19, 1929, in Kilgore, Texas. Tom went to work for Blalock Hardware Store when he was 13 years old. The store became Marshall Supply and is now known as East Texas Lumber. Mr. Kinney worked at that store for 50 years. He was recently employed at Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore, where he had worked for the last 20 years. Mr. Kinney was a member of First Baptist Church. Tom was a fine man, loved by many, who touched numerous lives. Mr. Kinney is survived by his wife, Koleta Kinney of Kilgore; son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Judi Kinney of Flower Mound; grandchildren, Hope and Jillian Kinney of Flower Mound; brother and sister-in-law, Marcus and Wanda Kinney of Athens, Texas; two sisters, Mary Ann Baker of Mont Belvieu, Texas, and Lillian Bass of Hideaway Lake; a sister-in-law, Carol Kinney of Kilgore; an uncle, Cabel Hale of Kilgore; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Virginia Kinney; and a brother, Malcom Kinney.
